E-Control Saswell App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Shenzhen Saswell Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we") collects, uses, discloses, processes, and protects the information you provide to us through the (E-Control Saswell) App when using our products and services. If we ask you to provide certain information to verify your identity when using smart home products and services, we will strictly comply with this Privacy Policy and our User Terms.

Definitions

• Personal Information: All data that identifies or can identify a specific individual directly or indirectly.
• Smart Terminal: Hardware devices with internet access, data transmission, and user interfaces, such as smart appliances, wearables, and environmental devices.

What Information Is Collected and How It Is Used

Categories of Information Collected:

1. Information you provide: name, phone number, email, smart home account details, synced data, messages, feedback, etc.
2. Device/SIM information: IMEI, IMSI, system version, manufacturer, model, MAC address, DID, IP, network info, firmware version.
3. Account-related info: Your smart home account data.
4. Location info: Region, codes, GPS coordinates, timezone, language settings (for specific features).
5. Log info: Cookies, IP address, logs, crash reports, temporary messages, system logs.
6. Account credentials: Passwords, security questions, etc.

Purpose of Use:

• Provide, maintain, and improve services/products.
• Communicate updates, support, firmware upgrades.
• Analyze usage statistics.
• Store info locally to provide services without server interaction.
• Account creation, location services, device authentication, status display, automation tasks, user feedback.

Sharing Your Information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• Data may be shared with trusted partners only to deliver or improve services, not for their marketing.
• Aggregated device usage data may be shared (no personal identifiers).
• Disclosure may occur with your explicit consent or under legal obligations (e.g., reorganization, merger).

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time:

• In app: Login → Add Device → Delete Account
• On website: saswell.com.cn → Online Support → Delete Account

All data will be erased unless retention is required by law.

For third-party registrations, revoke access from that platform directly.

Data Retention Policy

• Data is retained only as long as needed.
• Once obsolete, data is deleted or anonymized.
• May retain data for public interest, scientific, historical, or statistical purposes under legal allowance.

Access to Device Features

The app may access device features (e.g., Wi-Fi) for functionality. You may revoke permissions via settings or contact privacy@gizwits.com.

Your Rights

• Access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data.
• GDPR users have rights to portability, erasure, objection, etc.

Other Provisions

Priority

If there is a conflict between this Policy and the User Agreement, the User Agreement prevails.

Updates

We may update this Policy; changes will be announced via email, app notice, or site banner. Continued use implies consent.

• We conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments as needed.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.
